November 21, 2018 in Aktobe Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbaev in the framework of the search topic «Improving the methodology of practical training» at the final stage was held a training seminar, the purpose of which was to familiarize the teaching staff of the Institute with innovative teaching methods.
In accordance with the problem, purpose, subject and developed hypothesis of the study, the following tasks were set:

  1. To study modern forms, methods and training aids, innovations in the education system.
  2. To study the advanced experience of pedagogical activity of teachers on practical training of departmental educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad.
  3. To determine the levels of readiness of the higher education teaching personnel to the use of innovative learning technologies.
  4. To develop and implement guidelines for improving the methodology of practical training, as well as the active introduction of innovations in the educational process.

At the training seminar, the teachers of the working group (Department of General disciplines) shared their experience and made a presentation of innovative techniques identified in the search topic: the «Cluster» method, the «Six hats» method, training, creative tasks, the «brainstorming» method, discussion, debate, work in small groups, the method of Cinquain, business and role-playing games, etc.
Also in the seminar was conducted a survey of teachers assessing the quality of teaching. The results of the survey make it possible to distribute teachers into categories: teacher-explainer, teacher-inverver (productive of), teacher-activist (giving the opportunity to do themselves), as well as to make various pedagogical approaches more effective and productive.
At the end of the event were developed guidelines for the teaching staff of the Institute, the use of innovative technologies in training.
