On March 10, 2020 a seminar on «Conflict resolution by mediation methods» was held in the building of the Akimat of the Aktobe region, under the chairmanship of the Deputy head of the Department of entrepreneurship of the Aktobe region Kukeyev Askar Amangeldievich.
The seminar was attended by heads and representatives of security agencies of Aktobe region, the Mediators A.A. Kushaev, B. S. Rakhmetov, Sh. D. Dyusova, as well as the head office for control of security activities of PD of Aktobe region police Major G. B.Shitanova, lecturer of the administrative activities of IAB police Major A.A .Almagambetova and the head of the Department of criminal law, criminal procedure and criminalistics of Aktobe law Institute of MIA of RK named after M. Bukenbaev police Colonel N. T.Sakhanova.
The seminar discussed the problems and prospects of the development of the mediation Institute in the Republic of Kazakhstan, namely, problems in dispute resolution with the participation of representatives of security agencies for independent dispute resolution and assistance in this issue of mediators. The issues of low awareness of the population about mediation opportunities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the lack of information and reference materials and social videos that highlight the possibilities of the mediation Institute as a way to resolve conflicts without the participation of law enforcement agencies were discussed.
Current issues of humanization of criminal policy and optimization of procedures in the light of the implementation of the Concept of legal policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2010-2020 on introducing elements of restorative justice and extrajudicial settlement of offenses into procedural legislation and law enforcement practice are outlined.
