September 17, 2019 in the Akimat of the Aktobe region, the Information and Advisory Center «Dаris» held a roundtable «Safe Migration», as part of the project «Dignity and Rights in Central Asia». The roundtable was attended by Deputy Akim of Aktobe region M.L. Togzhanov, member of the Commission on Human Rights under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan G.S.Nabi, senior adviser to the International Organization for Migration in Central Asia Zh.Zholdasbekov, Head of the Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights in RK A.V.Mukha, director of the information and advisory center «Daris» T.P. Ostretsova, deputy head of the Aktobe Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbaev for scientific work, police colonel G. Suleimanova and representatives of the Aktobe region Prosecutor’s Office, the Office for the Coordination of Employment and Social Programs, the Center for Social Adaptation of Persons without a fixed place of residence in Aktobe, the Labor Inspectorate of the Aktobe region, the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Police Department of the Aktobe region, the Migration Service of the PD, the Department of Justice of the Aktobe region.
Also, from the Aktobe Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbaev, the head of the OSRaEW department, police lieutenant colonel A.K. Karimbaeva and senior lecturer of the GlD, police lieutenant colonel M.S.Salauatov — Head of the research topic: «State-legal foundations of migration and migration processes».
The purpose of this event was to discuss issues of safe migration in the Aktobe region, urgent problems in the field of migration, the necessary measures to ensure safe migration, the main provisions set forth in the Concept of migration policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2021 years, the main problems in the field of safe migration requiring interaction of various government bodies, an algorithm for the interaction of specialists from various government agencies in the absence of international programs to assist migrants in the region, is necessary and in the possibility of creating a permanent advisory body under the akimat of Aktobe region on migration.
The roundtable was held in the form of discussion and constructive dialogue and at the end, summing up the results of this event, the senior adviser of the International Organization for Migration in Central Asia Zh. Zholdasbekov thanked everyone for their active participation and mutual cooperation to ensure safe migration.
