Introducing students to the development prospects of the Institute

September 2, 2019 explanatory work was carried out with cadets of the faculty of full-time education of the Institute in the main areas of implementation of the Institute Development Concept for 2019-2021, approved at a meeting of the Academic Council on May 23, 2019.

In his speech, the scientific secretary of the Institute’s Academic Council, police lieutenant colonel L.A. Zhubandykova noted the importance of this strategic document in the framework of the implementation of the Roadmap for the modernization of internal affairs bodies for 2019-2021 and highlighted the fundamental tasks of the future development of the educational activities of the Institute aimed at professional training of personnel corresponding to the requirements of the new police format:

– phased reorientation of educational activities to initial vocational training with the refusal of admission to undergraduate studies;

– transition to practice-oriented training (as close as possible to the professional activities of the police), with an increase in the volume of practical training up to 70%, as well as the introduction of innovative technologies and teaching methods (dual, modular, binary);

– Strengthening the scientific potential of the faculty of the Institute, with the prospect of increasing the number of graduated and equivalent employees by the end of 2021 to 63%;

– professional development of the teaching staff in the framework of the program “region-republic-abroad”;

– the creation of training centers at the bases of leading universities in the country and branches of the graduating department in the Police Departments of the Western region (based on concluded memorandum of cooperation);

– digitalization of the educational activities of the Institute, by creating a unified system for managing the university’s information space, as well as connecting to the information systems of the Ministry of internal affairs and the General Prosecutor’s Office;

– Strengthening the material and technical base of the Institute, with equipping with innovative teaching aids and the creation of a training and situational center “Safe City”;

– Strengthening feedback with graduates of the Institute, in order to monitor the effectiveness of ongoing educational programs;

– introduction of distance educational technologies into the learning process;

– development of postgraduate education (master’s program).
