As part of\nthe implementation of the Roadmap for the modernization of the internal affairs\nbodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2019-2021 years, in order to\nstrengthen the practice-oriented educational process on the subject\n“Criminalistics”, police Lieutenant Colonel N. A. Chuprinyuk of the\nDepartment of “Criminal procedure and criminalistics”, on October 02,\n2019 was held a practical lesson for students of the 5th and 9th academic\ngroups of the course of initial vocational training. Before the lesson, the\nstudents got acquainted with the main activities of the operational and\nforensic service of the DIA of Aktobe region. Employees of the OCD explained\nand demonstrated the principles of the following programs: “Integrated\ndata Bank”, “Papilon”, “Image++”,\n“Pulegilzoteka” and other search engines used by practitioners in\ntheir daily work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such\nprograms as “Papilon”, “Portrait” and\n“Pulegilzoteka” aroused particular interest among the audience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Automated\nfingerprint information retrieval system “Papilon” is a repository (a\ndatabase of fingerprints and palms of offenders and persons involved in the\nCommission of crimes). In this database, immediately also made traces of\nfingers and palms, found and removed from the crime scene, then, as soon as\npossible, about 10-15 minutes, their verification is carried out with the\nexisting database, and then in the case of a match, an answer can be received\nabout who owns the fingerprints left at the crime scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program\n“Portrait” is an automated information retrieval system that allows\nyou to find the offender in the shortest possible time on the external signs\nand available in the database photographs. In addition, it allows you to make a\ncomposite portrait (sketch) of the offender on the basis of the testimony of\nvictims and witnesses with their direct participation and with the use of\nmemory and perception, by describing the appearance of the offender. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Pulegilzoteka”\nis an automated information retrieval system. This system allows to conduct\nresearch and to identify the fired bullets and shell casings to the firearm\nfrom which the shots were fired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end\nof class the students thanked the Deputy chief of OCD of PD of Aktobe region,\npolice Colonel O. S. Arykbaev and OCD senior criminalist, police captain B. A.\nIljanov for an interesting story about the possibilities of the forensic\nservice of PD of Aktobe region and for comprehensive, detailed answers to\nquestions concerning practice forensics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lesson\nhas achieved its goal, during the course of it the students got acquainted with\nthe methods of forensic examination and got an idea about the production of\nurgent investigative actions, forensic ballistic, trasological, handwriting\nexamination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
